We are exposed to several unavoidable risks every day just by being alive. There are also risks present in our day-to-day lives that are avoidable, and poor indoor air quality is one of them.
The Ecotelligent Homes Difference
Your home is important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to help create a happy, healthy, and comfortable home for you and your family. At Ecotelligent Homes we understand that you are making an investment in your home and when hiring a contractor you want to make sure you are finding an experienced and licensed contractor. While you are making decisions about improving your home, we ask that you consider some of these items that differentiate Ecotelligent Homes as a professional Home Performance Contractor.
From three consecutive Angie’s List Super Service Awards to Consumers Energy’s 2014 Outstanding Customer Experience Award, Ecotelligent Homes’ award winning customer service shows our consistent focus on your satisfaction. We are proud of the awards we have won, but we are even more honored by the hundreds of customer testimonials we have received from satisfied customers. The following are just some of the details you can expect when Ecotelligent Homes installs your energy efficiency improvements:
Your Crew Leader will give you an introductory phone call prior to the start of your project introducing themselves, walking you through what to expect, and answering any questions you may have.
All crew members will treat you and your property with respect by wearing booties or walking on drop cloths, keeping noise levels to a minimum, covering your furniture during the project and doing a thorough clean up at the end of each day.
Your Crew Leader will take you on a final walk through ensuring your satisfaction with the project and our clean up.
Consistent high quality is our goal, and that is why we focus on using high quality materials and following the latest install standards from the Department of Energy. We confirm the quality of our installs with our industry leading Six Point Quality Assurance Check (QAC) which includes a follow up blower door test, thermal infrared scan and health and safety testing. And if an issue is identified during our QAC, which we must admit can happen from time to time, we have processes in place to ensure a timely and accurate repair. We were happy to have our efforts recognized at the Governor’s Energy Excellence Awards where Ecotelligent Homes’ project was named the Best Residential Project in the whole state of Michigan in 2015.
All of our talented team members are educated in building science through internal training, developed by our owner, Amanda Godward, a licensed builder, mechanical engineer and former Building Performance Institute instructor. We regularly attend building science training and national energy efficiency conferences to stay up to date on the latest industry standards.
Where possible we support fellow Michigan companies by supplying our customers with high quality energy efficiency options made in Michigan, such as our blown in cellulose and crawl space vapor barriers.
Ecotelligent Homes was founded in 2009, by Amanda Godward a mechanical engineer and licensed builder, and is a certified Woman Owned Small Business. Ecotelligent Homes has taken an active role in supporting and encouraging women in the energy efficiency industry, and we regularly volunteer with local nonprofits that support STEM education and environmental stewardship.
Ecotelligent Homes has a history of sustained growth recognized by Crain’s Detroit Business and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program, with a focus on a future of continued success as your trusted source for energy efficiency and comfort improvements.
