Charitable Work

The Ecotelligent Homes’ Team truly enjoys helping our customers to save energy at home, and we apply that same passion to helping our local community. Our community service tends to focus in two areas: support of Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) education, and environmental stewardship.

Community Service Supporting STEM

Our diagnostic testing and data-based approach lend itself to the support of STEM fields by highlighting real world application through hands-on demonstrations. Ecotelligent Homes is proud to participate in the following community service activities supporting STEM:

  • Cranbrook Schools Science Day – teaching 3rd & 5th grade students to be energy detectives

  • Farmington Hills Nature Center STEM Science Program – hands on energy audit program at the Longacre House for students age 13-17

  • Kettering University Alumni Council – speaking to engineering students about entrepreneurship

  • Society of Women Engineers – talking with female engineering students about entrepreneurship in a male dominated field

Volunteering with Environmentally Focused Local Organizations

We regularly volunteer with local nonprofits and organizations to support environmental sustainability and raise awareness about the benefits of energy efficiency. Ecotelligent Homes is happy to volunteer with the following environmentally focused organizations:

  • Peace Love and Planet – teaching the importance environmental stewardship to K-12 grade students

  • Habitat for Humanity – turning foreclosed Huron Valley houses into ENERGY STAR homes

  • The Greening of Detroit – planting trees and growing greenspaces in Detroit

  • Farmington Farmers Market – sponsoring market events like Eco Challenge to educate children about energy saving habits.
